The Claremore Super Recreation Center opened its doors for operation
December 11, 1999. The center is owned by the City of Claremore and
operated by the Parks and Recreation Department. The Claremore Super
Recreation Center is approximately 80,000 square feet and cost
approximately 7.1 million dollars. Funds for the construction were
generated from a temporary one-penny sales tax. Operations and maintenance
funds for the facility are generated by memberships, user groups, swim lessons,
and activity fees.

The Claremore Recreation Center features a state of the art weight room featuring Life Fitness, Hammer Strength, and Iron Grip equipment. Other features include racquetball courts, tennis courts, indoor and sand volleyball, basketball, indoor track, childcare facility, aerobics room, and a 400,000 gallon twenty-five yards by twenty-five meters competitive swimming pool with a beach style entry recreation pool.
We offer a family fitness atmosphere where anyone can workout, relax, and socialize in a comfortable, climate controlled facility.
We currently offer a swim team, day camps, and various community based programs.
The Recreation Center currently employs a part time staff of fifty-two and a full time staff of four.
